World War I remains Australia’s deadliest conflict, with almost no Australian community unaffected. The centenary of WWI has inspired an incredible range of commemorative projects across the country that explore the ways in which the Great War shaped our nation.
The team at Inside History magazine has established WWI Link as a database of research projects taking place across Australia during the centenary of WWI. It is our sister site to promote our WWI heritage and create an important record of the ways in which Australians commemorated this significant centenary.
Stay tuned in 2015 as Inside History will publish regular blog posts about WWI and other centenary projects. In the meantime, feel free to explore WWI Link to discover and collaborate on projects which explore the Australian experience of the war.
